About Us

What our Program Does?
Our program invests in the players we train. At For the Love we view ourselves as a family and each player we train is a member of that family. For the Love is dedicated to overseeing the development of our players with a high level curriculum that works in progression to teach players individual skills, team skills, as well as cognitive and motor components that are essential to the development of any young athlete. Our course is designed to meet the needs of players of all ages and abilities where they are and build in them the skill set and confidence needed to be successful.

Why choose our program?
The training, players will receive instruction that is at a level higher than they would receive even if they were living in the United States or another elite basketball country. Youth players of this age are not being taught the game of basketball anywhere in Asia at this level. The atmosphere is one that kids really enjoy. At For the Love we try to develop the groups into teams, the players we train get to know one another, and enjoy playing and training together which creates an eagerness for all of our players to come to practice. Finally our staff consists of caring and able professionals who are motivated in the development of your child.

For the Love History
The idea of For the Love was birthed on a train in China when two friends and former professional basketball players Scott Stewart and David Bobalik were having a conversation which turned to giving back to the next generation and eventually to seeing basketball and players developed in Asia. A year later For the Love was started in Thailand and has actually operated in over ten Asian countries including China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, amongst others. While the history of For the Love is short it has quickly developed into an entity that trains nearly 400 players weekly and more than 1000 players per year.

Achievements that the program has had
For the Love has been successful in developing players, teams, and programs in Asia. Four Asian players that have trained with For the Love have gone on to play college sports in the United States, three of them on basketball scholarships. Our elite teams comprised entirely of Bangkok based players have been successful. In two short years our teams have twice beaten the national champion of Thailand (18 year-old boys and 13 year-old girls). Further the school most cloesly associated with For the Love in Taiwan has won the Far East Asian Championship the past three seasons, and has defeated several teams ranked in the top five of Taiwanese High School basketball.

Network of professionals
For the Love not only hires true professionals as coaches but also works with professional basketball entities in every country of operation. For the Love works hand in hand with high ranking basketball officials in nearly every region of Asia including South East Asia, East Asia, and The Middle East in ensuring that all our youth events are run at the highest level possible.
